The following student has been named to Berry College's fall 2015 Dean's List, according to Provost Kathy Richardson. The Dean's List honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.

On Friday, July 10, 2015, the newest Georgia College students and their families will attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is a day-long program that offers new students and transfer students the opportunity to establish a link with faculty in their intended major, become familiar with the campus and the array of academic and campus life programs available and "take care of business" to prepare for move-in.

Georgia Southern University recently named 2,611 students for excellence in academics to the 2015 Spring Semester Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

More than 1,700 students made the spring 2015 Deans' Lists at the University of North Georgia (UNG) for achieving a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B. More than 150 undergraduate students presented their research at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC) on Tuesday, April 14. Students from a wide variety of disciplines shared their findings through oral presentations, posters, artistic displays and performances.

Berkley Baker, Executive MBA student at the Robinson College of Business, has won $20,000 at the college's Business Plan Competition to further his business in medical technology innovations. The second-place winner was Justin McLeod, a senior majoring in marketing, who garnered $10,000 for his Event Tent app, focused on event promotion and planning, joined by fellow students junior graphic design major Christopher Davis and senior computer science major Duvall Smith. Other finalists included The Atlanta Beltline Hostel Inc., and Goza Tequila LLC.
